The Annual Conference

The aim of the Annual Conference is to provide its members with a forum for discussion of specific topical issues related to peace operations, and to provide a venue for the Association’s Annual General Meeting. There have been thirteen of these to date:

23rd Annual Conference Of IAPTC, Cairo, Egypt – 2017 
The 23rd Annual Conference of the IAPTC was held in Cairo, Egypt, from 11-14 September 2017. The Conference was organized by the Cairo International Centre for Conflict Resolution, Peacekeeping and Peacebuilding(CCCPA)--Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs--in partnership with the Egyptian Ministry of Defense and the Egyptian Ministry of Interior. The decision was taken during the 21st Annual Conference, held in Brasilia in September 2015.

22nd Annual Conference of IAPTC, Sarajevo, Bosnia Herzegovina – 2016 
The 22nd Annual Conference of the IAPTC was held from 26 to 30 September in Sarajevo, organized by PSOTC Bosnia, in partnership with the Bosnian Ministry of Defence and the Bosnian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as with national embassies , NGO, civilian and academic organisations.

21st Annual Conference of IAPTC, Brasilia, Brazil – 2015
The 21st Annual Conference of the IAPTC was held from 28 September to 1 October in Brasilia Brazil. The theme of the conference was "Enhancing the effectiveness of Training through Integration, Partnerships and Evaluation". The conference was attended by some 200 delegates, from 67 different organizations and 50 different countries.

The Executive Committee accepted Peru’s candidature to host the 25th Annual Conference of the IAPTC and discussed the way forward to finalize the required procedures.
